For the longest time I did not have a desire to visit Las Vegas. It wasn't until recently that my interest was sparked, mainly from hearing vacation stories from other people. So when my sister called and said she wanted to go for her birthday, I was down. This was such a last minute vacation. We bought tickets on a Monday and flew out on Saturday.
I would consider myself to be an intermediate traveler, I have been to several states, but this was my first trip to the West Coast. I was intrigued by the desert as we flew over it and had to take a picture. Our flight was great, we had an hour layover in Chicago, and then we were off to Las Vegas.
The Treasure Island and Hotel was our home for the 3 days we were there. We joked that this was the hotel for old people, we wanted a more exciting hotel. However, the hotel was really nice, it had several restaurants, shopping inside and it connected to the Mirage Hotel and the Fashion Show Mall.
Our first stop was a pool party at The Artisan Hotel, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations. The pool was literally a rectangle, something you would see in a backyard of a house. We make the best of any situation, so we went to the other side of the hotel, listened to music and enjoyed cocktails. My swimsuit was really cute and I felt as if it was wasted it on this event. OH WELL!
The next morning we had brunch at the Aria Resort and Casino. This hotel was amazing, it has 17 dining options 3 lounges, a nightclub and more. Next time I want to stay at this hotel. We ate brunch at Bardot Brassiere, which was recommended by the staff. I had a burger and a Belgian Beer.
The restaurant offers bottomless Rose, but I opted to have beer with my Prime Rib Burger.
That night we went to Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub. It was awesome, that’s all I can say. We danced to 2000’s era hip hop around a pool, had great drinks and met beautiful people. My picture is not the best quality, but I wanted to post something that represented the night.
On our final day in Vegas we were determined to attend a pool party. We got an early start, ate lunch and then headed to Rehab. After waiting in the long line we finally got in, and the party was AMAZING. It was by far my favorite event of the trip. There was great music, drinks and people. We stayed here for a few hours, and it made our night.
Sayounara Las Vegas! We had a great time and can’t wait to visit again!
